This would have to be one of my favourite kombucha flavours. The pineapple gives it that tropical flavour that just screams summer and the hint of lime and ginger give it that extra kick. It's super refreshing and makes the perfect non-alcholic drink option over the festive season that all family members can enjoy.
Ingredients
1 litre of plain kombucha
Juice of a lime
1/2 inch piece of ginger, roughly chopped
1/3 cup chopped pineapple
Instructions
Add lime juice, ginger and pineapple to a blender.
Pour in enough kombucha to cover then blend on high speed until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a bowl through a sieve or nut milk bag to get rid of the pulp.
Stir in the remaining plain kombucha then pour into a one litre glass bottle with a tight seal.
Leave to sit at room temperature for 1-2 days or until fizzy to your liking.
Place in the refrigerator and serve cold.
NOTES:
Adjust the ratios of ginger and lime to suit your flavour preference.
If you don't have a blender you can add the chopped pineapple, lime juice and grated ginger straight to the bottle. Once it's ready to drink either strain out the solids or leave them in. They are perfectly fine to eat.
Be careful in hot weather as it can get fizzy fast. Check the fizz by slowly twisting the bottle cap to release the gasses.
